If things do not turn out as we wish, we should wish for them as they turn out.

The explanations of the construct differences between the male and female bodies, I think, is particularly helpful, because it's something that seems not be particularly obvious just from observation. Or perhaps it's just me and I suck :-P At any rate, great tutorial... so keep up the good work. BTW, the download isn't working from this page, no clue why.
:iconsai-manga-tuts:
Yeah I know its not. I've tried to fix it several times and its still no go. I'll have to try again soon.

'I' before 'e' except after 'c'. In other words, 'brief', not 'breif'.

Just as a comment, I think you should mention that you don't *need* to use guidelines; it's just something that helps--notice the word 'guide'. I know quite a few people who can draw really well without them.

No, its a mistake to think you can grow beyond guidelines or construction lines, a mistake many advancing artists seem to make. Even hyper-realists use guidelines, they're necessary to build up the proper proportion of an image.

Exactly, they may not always use line on paper, but use the end of their pencil as a measuring tool... Guild lines are important and no one should ever tell anyone other wise. I had a prof who tried that... She didn't exactly teach us anything, so we taught eachother with the things we knew... I think she hated that...
